Moonlight shadows

Moonlight shadows

A crisp and very cold night in mid-winter, it was only -20 degr C outside. The moon was shining very brightly leaving strong shadows on the snow and on the ice of the lake. I made a try to catch this almost spooky atmosphere. I dont' know if I succeeded?
Printed on MGIV baryta and toned in Viradon (The image shown here is a reproduction from the print and not from a scanned negative).

Yes this is a lovely shot and well printed in your darkroom. Only 2 questions, is this print chemically toned and what is that white streak in the sky top right. I feel you should have spotted that streak out before scanning it.

Thank you for your comment Vincent. Yes, it is chemically toned in Agfa Viradon (sulphide toner). The photo is taken during the middle of the night, so even if the moonlight was strong I needed a 15 min exposure. The white strike is a star trail (a star that changed relative position during the exposure). Even though it is a bit disturbing, I decided to not retouch this star trail since it was a part of the scene.
