Your use and management of shallow DOF contributes greatly to a strong sense of presence. And it also doesn't hurt that the children are quite beautiful AND apparently more than willing to participate in the process with a smile.

This is awesome, great smile, timing, etc. although the color cast seems off to me, I can't tell if it's on purpose or just the scan process... but it's still a great image.

Thank you! Well, the colors are not exactly what I saw in the scene but only a little bit cooler than expected. Anyway, I liked the result. Saludos
