For some reason and I don't think it is just me, creatures with "bulgy" eyes always look slightly sinister. Unfortunate as it is, it is not exactly an endearing aspect in a human face. This probably goes back to what was a good reason to be concerned about bulgy eyes in our caveman days or does it simply stem from 1940/50s science fiction cartoons.
