A pair of Jim Dine bronzes on 6th Avenue at 52nd Street in New York. I was pulling focus to get separation from the background because even in the shadows of the high-rise canyons of Manhattan at 8:30 AM, it was bright enough that I was getting 1/500th @ F8 or thereabouts for my Tri-X.
That's the beauty of being out on the street early in the morning. It was partly overcast, so you had somewhat diffuse but still directional light, and it was peeking through a gap in the buildings across the street to almost spotlight the statues.
