[this is a neg scan, it will be printed and somehow presented like this, these are my notes from the flickr page]This is not a *serious* photograph, it was made in an idle minute, while wandering along a beach, probably kicking kelp and picking up shells to be examined for the moment and placed back down nearby. Though I cannot remember the moment now, the darker patterns of some trace mineral against the light sand must have drawn me in. I took the image, not in this orientation, and walked onward, forgetting the moment. Now I see that, had I spent a moment longer, lingered, tilted my head, I might have seen this in the field and have spent more time. The scene is gone, my instincts were good, but I rushed on, thinking I was *just* playing. Wherever you are, take a moment, there are 10,000 blessings upon you... don't forget to play!
Quite right, there are so many images underfoot! I'm also drawn to images like this and just took something similar the other day....black Rutile against the sand, which makes these wonderful "flame" patterns. Love this image, and the way it is presented.
