flare?

greetings. i'm wondering if those with more experience than me using a large format camera can offer their insight into this image, which seems to be suffering from flare, a light leak, metering/developing issues, or some combination thereof. several of the images shot on this roll, at least all those shot outside in the sun, had this kind of hazy look to them. the sun, in this shot, was behind and to the right of me. do you think this could be flare? or something else? thanks for looking and commenting.

Sometimes flare can look nice! You may have a bellows leak developing, and I had a similar problem with my Linhof just recently. The flare only showed when using longer lenses with more bellows draw, and gradually got worse. I couldn't see any holes, but I recently had the bellows replaced and the issue has completely gone.

thanks, tony. hmmmm, i'll have to shoot some more and see. funny thing is, i shot about 14 images inside the apartment first before going outside, and none of those have "this" issue. i agree, flare can look nice sometimes, and what i'm really after is understanding what's going on. thanks to both of you for looking and commenting!

In spite of that, a very nice soft image ...

thanks to both of you for looking and commenting. @martin...yes, that could be it. how would i know if that was the source of the haziness? i'll be developing a roll shot with the linhof and a roll shot on my contax 645 in the next couple of days and am interested to see how they look next to each other. both were shot on acros 100, so it should be a good chance for me to see if the linhof is doing anything strange or if my results from a couple of days ago were an anomaly.
