cheers! yes, i was limited by f2.8 and 400 speed film for almost all of the shots i took indoors during my recent trip, but i couldn't help snapping away. most of the time i was forced to lock the shutter speed at 1/30 and hope for the best. i've a number of more rolls to develop...we'll see how it goes!
oolalajp, was this hand held and if it was you have steady hands with med format camera. Where there many places during your trip that had tripod restrictions?
@logan...thanks for your comment and for introducing me to a new photographer. yet another master to study and from whom to learn. cheers!..... @mike...yes, this was handheld; i'm afraid 1/30 is about the slowest i can go handheld with my 645. and yes, most indoor places had restrictions on tripods, so i was left to my own devices..... @bill...cheers! i fiddled with the composition for a good little bit, moving in and out, up and down, before i settled on this. i knew i wanted to include the scaffolding, i just wasn't sure how. as i get older, i find that i try more and more just to see what's in front of me, even if i disagree with it or prefer it not be there. this has resulted in some compositions that i would have balked at 4~5 years ago, but i feel it's a move in the "right" direction..... thanks to everybody for looking and commenting.
