I like the varied DOF on this Stone. Both FG & BG OOF seems like a neat idea on this particular capture. A bit of a challenge with old 4x5 here this low to the ground eh?........nice closeup here.
Thanks, I forgot to take an image of the setup, but yes VERY low to the ground, it wasn't your typical LF setup, on top of that my normal tripod is in the shop so I was using my carbon fiber tripod made for the weight of 35mm cameras only (not even medium format weight) and it's a manfrotto with a vertical or horizontal bar option so in order to get low enough I had to bring the center post up and make it horizontal meaning that it would be even more unstable. I'm happy with the shot after all that work. I'm not sure how many people on here are in twitter or if they can even access this picture if they aren't but the setup was similar to this one...http://t.co/EVYB4jo5YB
Yeah, I shoot 4x5 too and could imagine how it would require a bit of work to get this low. My poor knees are not up to that anymore. I do use my MF camera for the lower stuff, seems to be a bit less time kneeling to work things out.
