Sea of Tranquillity

I'm much more of a morning person than an afternoon one, but I got myself to this place about two hours before sunset and was very glad I did. Everything was a pastel wash, and the ocean was nearly glassy.

The picture encapsulates the tranquillity very well as reflected in the sea and sky. I am a bit surprised that a Red 25A hasn't made the sky darker and more contrasty which would have robbed the pic of its tranquillity. I'd have been wary of a red filter here but you weren't and you were proved right

Thanks, pentaxuser. Had the sky not been so pale and pastel, you're right, the red filter would have been overwhelming and out of touch with the mood I tried to capture. As it was, though, I needed a strong filter to get what was so subtly there to reveal itself.

As always... nice work John. I enjoy viewing photos of your new playground!
