You might think the building is burnt out, and I'm in two minds myself. I tried a lower rendition but it didn't work as well - I want this image to communicate how the bright light almost hurt my eyes against the night sky. Like an assault of brightness. Does it work for you or am I just being delirious? Thanks for your comments.
Wow, what a wild photograph! It's filled with surprises of scale. Somehow the leaves look enormous compared to the tables and the the human figure totally outsized against the bright roof. The end effect is very weird and wonderful. Great shot.
The composition is very engaging. Because of the unusual objects and relationships in scale, the composition is confusing... but in a good way. It makes you search the photo more, in a way similar to looking at an Escher drawing. As far as the difference in brightness, if you never mentioned it I would have not even thought about it. So I think it works.
