Some IR images from my trip to Acadia National Park.
I bracketed only 2 options, "choice" and 1 stop over for each image. I'm seeing that somehow the IR never quite is truly 6 stops, and seems to be more like 5 or 4 stops below, although I'm often shooting in very sunny areas, so this might change in the shade, will keep experimenting.
I like this composition. I think your filter might be bad though as the trees look much darker than I expect. f/11 1/2 is the exposure I'd expect of IR820 (notionally 2 stops slower than IR400) in full sun.

It's a very expensive B+W filter, bought new from B&H so I highly doubt it's that, but they are ALL pine, so I think those don't reflect IR well, as opposed to many leaf type tree's, these are all pine needles, maybe that's why?
