i'm not sure, but they're probably some sort of amulet that you can buy from the temple office and then leave behind as an offering...but since it was the first time i'd visited this particular temple, and i was by myself and didn't stay around long enough to try and decipher the various writings posted nilly-willy on the temple grounds, i can't be certain.
