What??!? They're renovating the Garden? I went there when I was a kid in the 50's! I saw "Little Shop of Horrors" there! Did you know that at one time the Garden was the longest continuously operating movie theater in the U.S. Unfortunately, the last few of those was as a porn theater. But it's amazing that it's being renovated. Good for you for documenting it, and I wish you many fine images there!

I went to see King Kong vs Godzilla there as a kid , come to think I also saw Children of The Damn there too ... I trained around the corner at Allegheny Hospital ... Wow great photos bring back great memories ...thanks!

Very dynamic. I look at this and wish more contrast could be added... A lot more. Would look incredible. It's still great as it is, just thinking out loud.

Thanks everyone. Surprised that it triggered so many memories. I've only lived here 14 years, during which it's been either an "adult movie" theater or shuttered. I shot this in the spring. The area's undergoing a slow revival, so hopefully they're still making progress on revitalizing this landmark. Thomas, the print has more contrast than this. I scanned using minimal adjustments. I should probably scan it again and make the proper black and white point adjustments.
