We have moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and this kind of photograph will be possible to make all year long now that I have retired. It was made just after Hurricane Irene had passed leaving nothing but gorgeous skies while, ironically, it was making its way up the coast to finally slam into where I then lived in New York. In fact, the eye of the storm passed through Harriman State Park less than 10 miles from our house. I'm surprised I never posted it until now.

Hey John the inferno last through september here and maybe Oct. so get out and start getting a little climitized a bit ... for me , more than the heat are the pest ! skeeters, then the gnats and then the yellow flies, ugh! .... gators , snakes , snapping turtles , bears , coyotes , foxes ... they leave you alone ... unless you decide to try to grab them , lol, the beaches are the best because ... no pest
