I was asked to take some working portraits of Ashley during my visit to Scotland this summer. With an example of a vintage image from the Isle of Harris of a weaver in the early 20th Century, I was asked to create a similar feel. Since I was not able to work quickly enough with an LF camera, I used my Super Ricohflex and Bronica and pushed the film.
Ashley is disabled and one of a very small club of Master Weavers.
Well thanks for posting these Kal, great series and I like what you have done. I always enjoy looking at images of people working in these "fading" trades.
