Interesting, looks to be out of the early 50's, I guess some things don't change.

The front of the car to the extreme left suggests much later than the 50s. More like the late 70s I'd have said but here's the real give-away on dates. On the end house there looks to be something suspiciously like a satellite dish so that makes it modern days but as you say, Tony, take away the car and what I think is a satellite dish and it could be anytime from almost the 40s onwards.A lot of the North of England still has scenes that are frozen in time. Evocative and a little depressing at the same time.
