A beautiful image. Reminds me of the time I (nearly) climbed the Matterhorn. Most images don't convey the immensity of this amazing structure, but this one does!

This image is more powerful and gives more a feeling, then the B+W image. This is more like capturing a moment in time, when the B+W to me is just a portrait of a large piece of rock. Personally, I think the other image is somewhat boring and does not hold my attention of very long...but this one does for sure!

You shoot any B+W at the same time you did this image? If so, I would like to see that as well!

Hi Ryan and all

Thanks for the nice comments but I do not have a similar in B&W like this one because it was very windy and the condition changed very fast. 5 minutes bevor this shoot was taken the "horu" as the Walliser say still was fully covered. But I will look for a more dramatic one in B&W to.
I was lucky enough to shoot all pictures out of the window of my hotel otherwise I would not have any LF pics only digital because of the wind blowing so strong!

Brilliant photo. It leaves me in awe of climbers who feel compelled to challenge it.

With the blue I thought it was a fuji slide film, but either way I really like it! spectacular!
