Contemplation.

I was shooting landscapes in Laguna Beach when this woman came and sat down in the scene I was shooting, it was one of those perfect moments. (Note: I have replaced my B&W version with the color version which I don't particularly care for, as per the rules)
Location
Laguna Beach, CA
Equipment Used
Hasselblad 500CM / Zeiss 80mm f/2.8 C T*
Exposure
1/250 @ f/8
Film & Developer
Fuji Pro 400H
Excellent. She's exactly the right size in the picture, small enough to be slightly overwhelmed by the surroundings, but still the most meaningful part.

I agree as a B&W this is a great image, I think she was posing... however, I've been yelled at for wanting to post a color image as B&W, so watch out for the "film only, no digital alterations" guys they are vicious lol but gorgeous tones

I'm happy to defend my decision. I'll post the color version if need be, but it just looks so much better as a Black and White. I could have lied and just said it was Hp5 or TRI-X or something.

Trust me I'm not attacking, I've been in your spot, I have some color stuf that just had to be B&W I just was saying I've seen the hardcore "traditional" guys get butthurt over digital alteration. I wouldn't worry about it, I foolishly made the mistake of asking if it was ok as a thread and got lots of NO responses, but you know what they say... "Better to beg for forgiveness than ask permission"

I understand, I didn't think you were coming at me in any way either. I appreciate the heads up, but I had a feeling someone would make mention of it lol.

First off, I like the image. It does violate the Gallery rules, though, and should be replaced with the color version.

Well, I've done that, but I don't particularly like the color version.

I like this version. I think it's more effective in portraying the last rays of the sun, as it hits her face, hands, and boots. It still has a subdued palette, but she is more prominent.
