From back in the day when steak dinners cost $1.99 and the one-armed bandits had real arms and didn't need to be rebooted. This is the Las Vegas I remember. I haven't been back since the bean counters took over and it all went destination resort. Who needs that?

I have heard Vegas is now considered a "family" destination? Definitely wasn't a family destination in 1985!

All those colorful casinos just north of that same intersection of Las Vegas Blvd South and Convention Center Drive are all gone now, replaced by a Walgreens, 7-11, Denny's, and a Ross Dress For Less. Just what we need...
