Exposed this Saturday in a new to me area on the South/East bank. I never tire of this place and each time I go I feel as though I've been recharged to some degree. =)
That's beauty, Shawn. Rarely a fan of rocks and water, but your composition is beautiful here. The array of shapes created by the rocks and water flow perfectly, while that one shadow in the right corner adds a sense of dimension. Great feel of warm, gentle light as well.
Jeez, Shawn. You should see how gorgeous this looks on my monitor. Wonderfully balanced composition, both left-to-right and near-to-far. Perfectly executed. And I just love your choice of shutter speed. Enough to give creamy counterpoint to the hard rocks, but with just enough residual motion to hold an echo of reality. I really enjoy your gallery submissions. Thanks for posting this one.
Thank you, fellows! Ken, I've learned what to expect (for the most part) from certain shutter speeds at this particular creek. I was hoping 1 second would do it. A little luck never hurts, either.
