Really well seen and done; great tonal range - shadows to highlights. It seems you and that Canon F1 have a wonderful relationship. bob

Brings back memories. I was on that pier twenty years ago, while on a school trip from Sweden, graduation trip. Of course then I didn't know anything about how to use a camera, so it's nice to see this image.
If this is a neg scan, can you achieve that same toning after you print it in the darkroom too?
Nice tonal values.

Lovely and dramatic! I was in Eastbourne once, visiting Norman Gryspeerdt, famed photographer and bromoilist. Norman took me to a meeting of the Eastbourne Photographic Society which met weekly in a building owned by and named for the "Society for the Bind," which as a venue for camera club meetings I found quite humorous!

Thankyou for all your comments. This is a neg scan, in the recent past I always aimed for this type of colour either by lith printing and toning in selinium, or with thiocarbamide toning. Unfortunately I no longer have any darkroom facility so have to make do with a computer. There is no way I would consider using anything other than a proper Camera with B & W film.

Stephen.
