Amazing where things grow! I never use a squeegee either, just a wettex cloth that I dampen and lightly wipe each side of the film. In the many years that I have done this I have never scratched a film. Has to be the genuine Wettex cloth, the ones that are made in Sweden, may be called Villeda over there. The beauty of this is that after a while you can move the cloths to kitchen duties!

Wettex!!!! Quite a revelation, thank you Tony! These squeegees, what a disappointment!
 
I don't use anything. Just a 30 second rinse in distilled water and wetting agent. I never get any marks or scratches.

Distilled water AND wetting agent together? So, ok, you rinse and then? Hang the negs?
