Thanks for your comments. Agreed, it's not perfect. The L/H side of the negative prints darker than the right. Why? I could guess, but i wasn't aware of any causes in the development. So the only way to reduce it's effect was to burn the top/bottom, plus dodge the centre. There are different layers in this, the middle is pumice, so naturally lighter than the top/bottom.
 
Looking beyond the technical stuff - it's a striking image and works for me.
