Interesting -- for some reason, this photograph looks much sharper on my screen (Retina laptop) than other photos in the gallery. It's all perception -- is it the tonality, or slightly grainy "tooth" to the image that gives the eye something to hang on to. Nice photograph!

Not sure... The paper is textured, so that might have something to do with it? It does reduce the contrast a little on the scan. I will likely print this onto a glossy paper at some point. It was scanned straight from veuscan.. No PS to adjust anything.

Subtle. I thought it might be a platinum print at first. I like the psuedo random nature of the antlers - there is order in that chaos.

Thanks grahamp. That is actually what I have been trying to do lately... Make prints on the textured paper that have the appearance of being platinum.
