This portrait of Peter Williams is the only decent print I've gotten so far from the Texas APUG meet this week. Peter was nice enough to let me shoot him with my 8x10, as were all other APUGers there. This let me try a couple of things, like using an adapted plate holder as a film holder, and trying APHS in "real world" settings.
The plate holder worked OK, but it was VERY dusty. The APHS gave me some grief with blocked highlights, as I expected. The upper right corner had about an 800% burn, but the rest of the print is quite good. I hope that my monitor is calibrated enough to show it. I really dig the tones on Peter and his camera...
Anyway, let me know what you think.
