Thanks, Lee. (I think ) Ghostman, I shoot a lot of paper negatives. (A LOT) The heavier the paper, the more light it takes to make a print through that paper. As for the glossy finish, it MAY not make any difference, but I have this silly idea in my head that you would have less diffusion and hence sharper prints than a textured paper. (that's probably just in my head, but we all get strange ideas) A few years ago, I picked up a couple of 250 sheet boxes of single-weight papers. (I think the designation is 1M) Whatever it is, it is a lovely (easy) paper to print through. It will all soon be academic, as my supply is very nearly depleted and I don't know if I can get this paper any longer as I can't find it in the Ilford catalogue.
