Tree, Fog, Powerlines

I've just started fooling with Oriental WT FB for lith. I think I'm going to like it. Unfortunately all the prints from my 1st session have these strange stains. I'm blaming our well water, for now. The water table is very very low, the water smells pretty bad. It is cloudy/misty today, and rain all weekend is predicted, so I'll try again next week.

I don't know Lillian. When I looked at the photo first, my reaction was "Wow, I love the subtle color variation of the fog! How did she do that?" I seriously thought you did it on purpose, to get bromoil-like effect. It looks just perfect to me. The stains may not look ok on other prints, but for this one it works really well. Just don't tell anyone that you did not plan it .

If it's your well water doing this then I suggest you bottle it and sell it! What a wonderful atmosphere!

I suppose it's not what you wanted, but I agree with the others, it's great. Normally, I hate powerlines, but in this case, I think they add to the composition. Sometimes, serendipity strikes.

There is an orange stain between the trunks that I don't like. The rest of the print jazzes me up to try this paper some more. The stain is quite visible on my computer screen, not so much so on my tablet. It is, of course, glaring on the print, at least to me.

This is beautiful. go figure:smile:

Stains? What stains? I just see a lovely, moody, evocative image... Nicely done.
