The Carillon in Berlin-Tiergarten is located in a freestanding tower next to the House of World Cultures. It is a large, manually played instrument, comprising 68 bells. It is one of the largest instruments of its kind in Europe and approximately the fourth largest (by number of bells) in the world. The carillonneur sits in a playing cabin in the middle of the bells and plays with his fists and feet on a baton-and-pedal keyboard.
excellent use of the wide lens--that's what it does best--unfortunately the mamiya doesn't allow centering on a ground glass. trade-offs...but easily fixed with very slight cropping to make it PERFECT. extremely good centering job however despite the handicap of the viewfinder parallax
Thank you all. I find it quite tricky to get things centered, perpendicular and plumb so I exercise this quite often and try to make it second nature. As johnielvis pointed out, even more so with the 43mm lens and parallax. I was quite pleased with this one. It is cropped only to straighten it. I like how it has a kind of Union Jack series of lines leading into the middle.
