Looks like it might be a grim scene in reality (industrial canal?) but beautiful light and tonality in the photograph. One idea I had when looking was that it might be interesting to see how the water looks with a long exposure. Rather than the precise ripples it might render as a long, glowing highlight.

It was ilford delta 3200 on warmtone (8,7 x 6,3 in)
