Well, aren't you the lucky one! I've had a hummingbird feeder next to a basket of red petunias for weeks now and not one hummer has appeared! What's your secret? LOL
Secret? Just dumb luck I'm afraid. I know that we had a few last year so we got a feeder a couple of months ago when I noticed them late in the spring. They found the feeder within 24 hours. The hummingbirds are a source if entertainment and delight for my wife and I. I set the camera and lens up on our back porch on a tripod. I had the OM Motor Drive 2 and M. Ni-Cad Control Pack 2 on the camera and put a remote release through the kitchen window. I pre-focused on the feeder and when we saw a bird at the feeder, one of us would press the shutter release. I should have put the camera a little closer and gone with an aperture of f4.0. For now our little friends have gone out to find some of their natural food sources. I think that after they migrate to their summer areas they are hungry for a while. Dave
Awww, I was hoping there was something special I could do to attract them. I had a pair last year and thought they would be back, but so far they haven't come. I haven't given up hope though and will keep my Nikon N75 at the ready! barbara ann
