Vincent, the horses' colour and the backdrop give this an almost ethereal, mystic look. I take it that the black penlines which really set this picture off are digitally produced or have you worked out how to do this in the darkroom. Penlines in the darkroom have always been my aim but I have never found an easy or quick way to do thesepentaxuser

Really like this. The horses are depicted very well and the composition is great. Don't understand the 'penlines' comment by pentaxuser. Do you mean the fence wire? I'm missing something and need to be educated.

Thank everyone for your positive comments. As regards the 'pen lines' they can be created in the darkroom (difficult to execute evenly), by the use of pen and ink on the print afterwards (works quite well most of the time) or insert the lines as borders using a computer programme. But it is the content of the photo that really counts, the rest is merely dressing.
