The image is lacking in contrast and has poor tone separation. (very flat gradation) I suspect that your old paper stock is the main problem.

Some bleach and toners would work miracles with the dull contrast of the print. The very old Brovira paper you're using is probably better spent with alternative types of printing, like Chromoskedasic or lith printing.

Thanks. I really got a lot of that old Brovira paper and I haven't thought of using it with alternative processes/printing, but I will look into it now.

I quite like this. The image speaks of nature's expansiveness and unity. By printing this in such a gray manner it has the effect of de-mooding this. Photographically mood is often created by nice blacks and shadows, so printing drab in this case strips the natural mood and creates an abstraction that I read to show that no matter how different nature is (clouds, streams, sand, etc.); it is all the same and connected.
