After Klee

This is a palladium print of a cardboard sculpture that I made some years ago. The sculpture was based on a painting entitled "Head with a German Mustache" by Paul Klee. The piece was laying in a corner in the studio behind the string grid that I was using for the String Grid Series. The sculpture has since become unglued and has been discarded.

I was in Denmark last December and saw an exhibit featuring work by Paul Klee. Very interesting exhibition, and the sculpture you made actually does resemble him.

I enjoy the number of media this idea has gone through, from Klee's original painting, to your sculpture and then your photographic representation of the sculpture. Beautiful.
