Nice capture Mark! Did you use a small aperture and long exposure? I've been waiting for a decent electrical storm to shoot lightning.

Lightning is easy

Point the lens in the general direction of the lightning, stop it down and lock the shutter open. Some folks pull off three or four lightning strikes before closing the shutter. I usually only go two, in this case 1. The hardest part is finding a place close enough to the lightning and not getting fried in the process. I was inside a house for this one.
