First try at Mordancage - Jessica in the box

Had my first try at Mordancage yesterday - very wierd process. The "veils" seem to have a mind of their own and very diffiicult to control. The first six I tried were total failures, but learned a lot in the process. This seventh image was the first that really looks like I knew what I was trying to do.

That's awesome!

I've always loved Christina Anderson's mordancage work, and this is really good too! Thanks!

Nice work! This is a great image and a very good example. I've not done it for years but I used to do it when I went to photo clubs to show them some cool processes that you just can't do in Photoshop.

Thanks for the comments guys. Contrary to what it looks like, Jessica wasn't isn't wearing anything in the photograph - it's the process that "put the appearance of clothing back on her".

Robert - now days, how do you think die hard photoshop people would react when I challenge them with "you can't do this in Photoshop"? I would like to see them try and create this.

Very intriguing, have to look this one up! I'm not sure about a process that puts clothing back on women though.....
