Lighting: two Smith-Victor compact fluorescent lights with reflectors, no diffusion, at 45 degrees to subject, main light camera left twice as close as fill camera right.
your technique makes this look like from an era maybe 100 years ago. and 12 second exposure is difficult for Danny but looks like he did it! very good!
I think it's a beautiful portrait.
His beard looks a bit hot, but the texture the paper has added is very complimentary of the portrait; it adds a bit of charm in its slight imperfection.
