Gazelle on Plain

Gazelle on Plain

I spent some time in Africa for work this year and the longest lens I brought was a 90...and it seemed like the best images I saw were further away while the van was driving.....I still had fun. This is a severely cropped image but I seem to like it for some reason. Printed on Fomatone toned in sepia then a little selenium then gold. I was trying to bring a little red into the grass.
Mark - Wonderful aspect ratio! That ever so subtle mountain line on the horizon - it's the tops!

The gazelle reminds me of a Giacometti sculpture; with thin wiry legs & arms. Giacometti said that his sculptures depicted what people looked like at great distances.

This is wonderful. Love it
