What a great portrait! Love the muted colors, the eye contact of the child and the melancholic look/pose of the dog. And what a beautiful child. Those eyes are mesmerizing.

No one has told you that children and animals are the hardest to photograph! Great effect, the colours look like a shot from the seventies....very retro-cool. Baby looks great.....and so does the dog!
