First Snow

Caffenol CM scan.

I should have probably opened the aperture one f-stop more than I metered, but it was my first try with expired Kodak 160NC from Ebay. 50 cents a roll. Tons of fun with Caffenol. I want to print this to see what I can get out of it. I think it would look rich.

Great image, the poor child looks frozen, lots of work seems to go into these images.

Thanks for the comment. Caffenol is just as easy as mixing up any developer. It even smells better when you are scooping it out Jack, my 7 year old son was playing with his wrestling figurines in the snowy ditch. He was wearing his insulated crocs with no socks, and an unbuttoned jacket. He is wondering why his dad is always walking around with a camera. At first he is annoyed and then because I just keep taking pictures and descending to the dark room it has become the new normal. I hope someday that both of us can benefit from the photos. Me in my remaining years and him as he remembers his Dad and give him back the memory of his childhood. Father's and Son's relationships over time sometimes falter, but reminiscing over photos and happy times can bring what's broken right again. Photos will maybe bridge that gap by helping us remember not our differences that separate, but by remembering what's important in life. Love.
