Thank you both for your comments. I had just missed a light on in the window of the small building, the old man who lives mostly on charitable donations had just come outside. We were on the way home, I brought my gear because the light was so great, my wife spoke to the old man while I had to deal with 3 young street cats, one was standing up with his paws around the tripod leg and the others were insisting I pet them. Intriguing to say the least. I may go back to catch the light in the window and maybe smoke from the coal stove coming out of the stove pipe.

Wonderful! Love the atmosphere, and it would have been even more amazing if the old man had been in the picture.

Thomas, agreed. While I am not much for posing in shots, if my wife could have convinced him to stand by the door I would have been happy to have him do it. Unfortunately he preferred not to.
