nicely done Miles... Envious as I have not been able to get out to much lately due to back problems.. again.. Any idea how ACROS and pyrocat react, or have you only tested it with PMK?

Hey Andrew, sorry about your back issues. My best medical advice is to get seen and full work up by a competent spine M.D. sooner than later so things don't get worse. Actually I have done Acros in pyrocat-mc and Prescysol-hc and are my favorite combos. The Acros in pyrocat is IMHO superior for several reasons. PMK is not as "clean acting" thus processing can get finicky. It seems everyone has to develop their own way to get even development. You can actually do stand development with Acros in pyrocat which is not a good idea with PMK. Acros with semi-stand in pyrocat has a degree of acutance that has to be seen to believe. Zone system type manipulation with PMK is a bit limited in that at one point you are just going to get more B+F rather than contrast (about N+1.8). PMK does compensation very well and so shyness about sky and clouds is gone Pyrocat is also good with that. Pyrocat will give a bit more film speed and far less issues with un-eveness. PMK's biggest issues relate to it becoming unstable from the time you put A+B together because of aerial oxidation which is not a problem with Pyrocat. Both are equally high acutance. Shelf life is better for Pyrocat. All that said the results I'm getting with the PMK that I decided to hang with for now is quite satisfactory.
