Pity some of the lighter areas of the detail in the wooden planks is starting to burnout.

I just consulted with the original and the areas you referred to are not looking blown out. I think it is a combination of a lousy scanner and a scanner operator who isn't terribly good at what he does. (Actually, it is probably mostly operator error!)
