Luis, Diptych

This is the first of a series I'm doing playing with the concept/construct of a 19th Century portrait parlor, using the posing and staging conventions and twisting them with modern subjects. I'm also playing with the pairing of clothed/nude subjects and the ordering of the pair - the nude is first in the western left-to-right reading order to make you think of it as the first condition, and the clothed in contrast, rather than the conventional clothed as normative.

I ilike the series and the idea. I just wondered how it would impact the result if you took care to pose the model in the same position for both shots?
 
Interesting. I had the same thought as BirgerA before I read his comment! Maybe you could give it a try as you continue with the series...
 
i see what you mean. when i saw this it seemed "backwards" but i like it. we come into this world nude, it's clothes that come later.
