Lith Giraffe

Lith Giraffe

I was gone most of the summer for work in Africa. I did get out a little and went for a 3 day safari in the Masa Mara in Kenya. I "only" had my M2 with a 90mm lens. 90 is really short in that country.

Lith on Fomatone in Arista developer 1:1:50 + 33% old brown, Leica M2 with 90mm Rokkor with Tri-x
Mark, I like this a lot, but would probably prefer more of the sky cropped out to really make that giraffe stand out.

Great picture! I like it that the giraffe looks so little and that huge sky, IMO it doesn't need cropping.

Oh man, do I wish I had taken my analog camera with me to Tanzania this year... But a 50 mm lens doesn't get you very far in these grand vistas. Really beautiful!

It is beautiful! I like that even a giraff looks small in the widestreched landscape. It gives me a humble feeling.

Stunning image, wouldn't crop it either, IMO.

Love it. The tones, the scale, its all perfect. Don't dare crop it.
