I have no idea what a "Brass lens" is, but this is a lovely image!
 
Thanks Barbara! A brass lens refers to old lenses that were mounted in barrels made of brass (hence the name). Most of the oldest lenses were made this way, and they can still be used to make great images. They usually don't have shutters though (I have mine mounted on an old graflex shutter).
 
I like the way she stands out against the soft background. It has the look of the old painted backgrounds the old-timey photographers often used.
