Thanks, John! It might have been the 150mm g-claron now that I'm thinking about it... More DOF with that.

Anyway, I'm wondering what you (and anyone else of course) thinks regarding the few spots of skylight peaking through? This was made in soft light and on the print the specks look a little softer than they do in this scan... I microwaved a work print to test for dry-down last night, so, I tried using spot toner on it this morning to get rid of those sky spots and it worked really well. I don't think anyone would be able to tell I did it. BUT, I kinda like them so not sure weather to do it or not...

frankly, the tonal richness overall is what's pleasing to the eye, nice work

I don't think the spots are an issue as long as they're not 'paper white';
they're part of the scene after all and our eyes are used to seeing
things like that: without those points of light it might have a
darker mood, sort of looking into mirkwood...

I think the light spots are a good thing. I didn't even notice them until you said to look and now I think they break up an otherwise too inky heavy black.

Another nice one Shawn! As to the spots... as long as they don't look like dust spots (sharp edges) and are not paper white then they are OK.

Way to go Shawn , great tonality and the sky light seems to me quite natural ...

I may not spot them out but tone them down with spot tone. I have done that before just for the same reason you are thinking about it now.
Shawn very nice work as usual. heading to point lobos next week. It's my wifes birthday and I'm treating her to carmel by the sea. As you can expect she knows there will be a camera on the trip. this time just my hassey. anything bigger I think she would feel more that this trip is for me not her. yea right!
