Loxahatchee Sky

Taken at the Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge when I lived in South Florida in 2003. I was a good 1/4 of a mile from this spot when the sky opened, and I was lucky to make it with my 4X5 before the clouds changed. I exposed the last sheet I had with me; in less than a minute the scene was gone.

Love that light streaming down. It's a good thing you had that last exposure and the time to set up.

I live in south florida and know very well how fast these situations change. Great job on grabbing it. like AA and his famous grab shot .

Thanks for all your comments. I didn't know if anyone would believe the story, it sounds too much like AA's Moonrise. But it's true. Usually I get there about 1 minute late. Dean
