Shot on Chamonix 5x8 with schneider 180 symmar S very windy day, Spent 2hours cleaning sand out of my gear when i got back!!

The framing and curved ridge top produces a vibrant dynamicism. I don't know what emotions you felt and wanted to convey, but I see change, power, and uncertainty. Excellent image; I imagine the print is quite powerful.

An extremely creative way to present this subject! I love it.

Although you should know that it's against the spirit of the forum to post desaturated color film pictures here. (Unless you contact print to a black and white film).

Sorry:pouty:I didn't realise i am new to this forum , I actualy would have prefered too shoot this on B&W film
As it is how i saw the image in my mind , But my 5x8 double darks all were loaded with colour and i wanted the extra length that the 5x8 afforded me , I also shot with my reducing back a 5x4 version of this on Fuji Acros with a 120mm lens which i have not developed yet ( i do my mono in batches) Cheers Gary

Beautiful! very weston like, or "weston-esque" as my photo teacher would say. And I'm sorry, but i don't see how it is against the spirit of the forum at all. It's still analouge, it belongs here. I see color photos all the time, doesn't make a difference if it's been converted to B&W. Great photo, good work, It belongs here! do not worry about it. But please post up some of the real B&W work when you get it done, so we can see how much better the real B&W work is :smile:

Gary, it's still an amazing photograph, and I am not trying to be the gallery police or anything. But if you read the upload rules, I'm pretty sure it's in there somewhere.
I am very glad to have a photographer of your caliber here.

Thank you all for comments , i am very humbled by your kind words , In answer to you Rich yes the drama was evident the wind was strong creating wisps off the sand but i was looking for the harder edge in my image so i took this as the wind eased for a moment only getting the wisp effect near the top , This image for me was allways going to present as a powerful 2D statement some images just translate to 2D better than others .
