Wonderful mood! But the brooding character of this scene seems more "late winter" than spring to me.
 
Another great print! Love the tones and the mood.

I think the lack of detail in salt prints is similar to the lack of detail to be found in certain styles of painting, Impressionism for instance. I think the eye enjoys sort of filling in the blanks. Also, it becomes so much about form and values, something that's important in all sorts of visual arts. This is a wonderful example of that.
