I recently re-printed this negative, replacing a print scan I had in my gallery for years on here. I was amazed when I looked back at how bad of a printer I used to be just a few years ago!
Anyway, this is a gas pump that still sits as lonely as ever in a beautiful section of western Adams County PA. The headwaters of the Conewago creek flows though two mountains just behind this pump creating an area known as the "narrows." Even on a hot summer day this area is still cool.
I printed this on Ilford MGWT and split-toned in fairly strong selenium. This paper splits so beautifully in selenium. Wonderful reddish brown shadows over cool highlights.
